Jaclyn qualified as a Solicitor in 2010. She has extensive litigation experience and represents her clients in Courts throughout Scotland on a daily basis. She will manage your case confidently from start to finish and guide you through the most stressful situations, achieving the most successful outcomes. She is a skilful negotiator to have on your side. She has excellent working relationships with the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, the Children's Reporter and Scottish Courts and Tribunal Services.
Jaclyn has been elected to the governing Council of the Law Society of Scotland, which sits as the principal decision-making body of the organisation. She has also been appointed to the Convenor position of the Civil Legal Aid Quality Assurance Committee. This forms part of the Regulatory Committee, which operates independently of Council and is responsible for all of the Law Society's regulatory work.
Since 2018, Jaclyn has worked with Children's Hearing Scotland in Edinburgh. She is an experienced Panel Member and continues to volunteer in other practice areas. Her qualifications include the Professional Development Award Children's Hearing Scotland SCGF Level 7 and Higher National Units in Management of Children's Hearings, Needs of Children and Young People within the Children's Hearing System and Principles and Practice for Children's Panel Members.
Jaclyn is also a Notary Public.
Outside of work, Jaclyn has the pleasure and privilege of enjoying life with her two children and loves her family skiing holidays abroad.
